Fans enjoy return of MLB All-Star Game to Atlanta
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The 2025 MLB All-Star Game brought out all types of fans.
That includes hardcore fans like one man who calls himself “Acuñamania.”
“So I created ‘Acuñamania.’ We let him know what’s going on. I said, ‘Ronald, you sign my arm. We will get it tatted,’” he said.
The fan said the ball player even paid for the tattoo when he got it.
“He went ahead, he got me inked up. I am the number-one fan of Ronald Acuña Jr.,” he said.
The All-Star Game also brought out the young fans.
Atlanta News First spoke with two kids whose families surprised them with their first All-Star Game tickets.
“We went crazy. It was really an exciting moment, and it’s kind of crazy, kind of a dream come true,” said Samuel Wagner, who came from Tennessee after his family surprised him and his friend Brodie Daniell with the tickets.
“I was really excited,” said Brodie. “We were jumping up and down.”
There were fans from across the country, and fans from across all MLB teams, basking in the stardom of the MLB All-Star Game’s return to Atlanta.
“The entire culture is something that I’ve always been surrounded by, especially working near the galleria. It’s a constant reminder how important big sports are to a community,” said Henry Hyman, a baseball fan from Atlanta.
