Doug Reardon

Doug first joined Atlanta News First in 2023 as the station’s political reporter. He also co-hosts “On the Record” every Sunday on WANF.

Doug is no stranger to Georgia. He started his career a few hours south in Albany. Doug later served as the political reporter for WXMI-TV in Grand Rapids, Michigan. There, he covered stories that gained national attention, including the trial of a group of men accused of attempting to kidnap Michigan’s sitting governor, the COVID-19 pandemic from the nearby Pfizer plant as they developed the vaccine, and countless local and statewide elections. In 2022, Doug co-moderated Michigan's gubernatorial debates for both the primary and general elections.

Since arriving in Atlanta, Doug has covered the 2024 general election, several sessions of the Georgia General Assembly, and the indictment of President Donald Trump in Fulton County for alleged election-related crimes.

In 2025, Doug was awarded a regional Emmy for his part in the station’s coverage of the deadly shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder.

Doug lives in Midtown with his wife. Outside of work, you can find him enjoying time with family and friends or running at Piedmont Park. To connect with Doug, email him at Doug.Reardon@wanf.com.
